Trend: Monochrome

This spring is monochrome crazy!  The sales are finally starting to clear and the Spring fashion is in...and black and white is key.

This trend is easy to wear and easy to update outfits you already have, perfect for a bruised bank account after Christmas!  The most stand out pattern is stripes, but also experiment with colour blocking, aztec inspired prints, geometric patterns, even polka dot.

Here's a few ideas to update your wardrobe...

Stripe crop top, River Island £20
Stripe T, H&M £7.99
Block top, River Island £22
Stripe sleeveless shirt, H&M £14.99
Printed shirt, H&M £29.99
Stripe shirt, River Island £30

Zig-zag body con dress, River Island £25
Polka dot dress, H&M £12.99
Stripe skirt, Topshop £32
Cross pattern trousers, H&M £14.99
Printed Trousers, H&M £14.99
Be wary - Stripes are not always your friend! A horizontal stripe can be very unflattering, try before you buy.

Good to be back!

Trend: Aztec prints!

This trend has been steadily growing for a few months.  It started with golds, browns and blacks and now it has transformed to incorporate Summer's brights.

Vibrant zigzags, sharp shapes and repeated patterns cover a black base in amazing bright colours.  Not quite the tribal inspired patterns you would expect, but a brilliant twist on it.  It does bring some flashbacks of 90's neons and the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, but rest assured there's not a pair of parachute pants or baggy shirt in sight!

This print trend is great for summery tops, structured dresses and crazy eye catching leggings.

Zig Zag dress, River Island £40
Pink aztec dress, River Island £20
Top, Forever 21 £10.50
